Australia Golf Sharks
Australia Golf Sharks – Australian golf sharks not the playing kind but bull sharks making their home on golf course in Australia pictures.
The Australia golf course sharks are man eating bull sharks that ended up at the Queensland golf course when a nearby river flooded. When the river rose over the banks, the dozen sharks were deposited in the golf course lakes and became stranded when waters receded.
Now the sharks on the Australia golf course are growing, breeding and have turned into a major tourist attraction. At the 14th tee at the Carbrook Golf Club, Brisbane the sharks fins stick up through the water and no one jumps in after a lost ball anymore.
General Manager Scott Wagstaff has become a shark devotee and enjoys throwing in fresh meat to encourage the 8ft to 10 ft sharks to surface.
“You can’t believe how close you are…just six feet away. There’s no drama, it’s become a positive thing for the golf course. They are amazing. I’ve become a shark lover since working here.”
The Australian golf course now hosts an annual tournament called the ‘Shark Lake Challenge’.
That’s the buzz on Australia Golf Sharks.
